Overseas medical students are accepted by Hong Kong University to complete an elective attachment at Queen Mary Hospital. Queen Mary Hospital is a tertiary centre so students will gain exposure to a wide variety of diseases. Students will participate in lectures and bedside and clinical teaching, and take on mostly an observer role in clinical encounters. Students will also learn to appreciate a different medical education and healthcare system in Hong Kong, as well as Hong Kong's unique population health.
